Just a smooth 1.5-hour drive from the Financial District, this hidden gem is nestled in a lush 3.5-acre mango garden (with young trees adding to the charm) and bordered by a serene forest on one side. The entire property is securely fenced, giving you that peace of mind right from the start. We were warmly welcomed by Srinu and his family, the dedicated caretakers, who greeted us with refreshing welcome drinks followed by delicious homemade pakodis, bajjis, and tea/coffee. Even the two resident dogs— the friendly Puppy and the more reserved Laddoo—added to the homely vibe, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere here is all about tranquility and calm, far removed from everyday chaos. My team dove straight into the inviting swimming pool, while others lounged under the three picturesque sandstone gazebos scattered around the property. We cranked up some great tunes on the in-house music system, setting the perfect relaxed mood. As night fell, we gathered around a cozy bonfire for some dancing and fun, capped off by an absolutely amazing dinner that hit all the right notes. The farmhouse itself is a labor of love by the owners, blending old-world charm with modern luxuries. Adorned with exquisite collections of paintings and wall art, it exudes elegance, while features like Athangudi tiles and a pressurized water system ensure comfort without compromising the rustic feel. The indoor cricket pitch was a fun bonus for our group, and with three spacious bedrooms and a large dining table, it comfortably accommodated all 13 of us. Overall, Rudra Farm House offers a beautiful mix of peace, calm, natural beauty, and subtle luxury in a rustic setting.
